Chilled Sessions at FRAMELESS

FRAMELESS Chilled Sessions have been created especially for disabled and neurodivergent people, and those who might feel more at ease in less busy public spaces.

We aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe to enjoy the experience, ensuring visitors can move around the Galleries as they please and make noise as they wish throughout.  We reduce our capacity, which means more room for wheelchairs and more space for comfort. Loud noises are minimised; hand driers are switched off, volume in the Galleries is lowered and lighting is dimmed, while avoiding complete darkness.

There is also a large chill out area with sensory lighting and a dark tent and lifts to every floor including our disabled toilets.

Gallery Content

The FRAMELESS Experience is suitable for general viewing with guidance comparable to the PG rating for film and video content but guardians should be aware that some content may be unsuitable for those of a more sensitive disposition.

Due to the content of some of the original masterpieces reimagined in the Experience, a small number of the immersive artworks in our Beyond Reality and The World Around Us Galleries feature subject matter and imagery, including themes of anxiety and nudity, that some individuals may find sensitive. For this reason, sensitive viewers may prefer to avoid specific artworks featured within our Galleries.

If you have any concerns, please check our venue signage and speak to a member of our Visitor Experience team who are happy to assist with details of specific artworks, scene descriptions and running orders to help plan your experience.
