The Colour Monster

Step into The Colour Monster’s  world of emotions

From 13 February 2026

FRAMELESS immersive art experience invites families to step inside the world of the best-selling picture book The Colour Monster.

For the past decade, The Colour Monster has helped children around the world understand and manage their emotions. Inspired by Anna Llenas’ work as an art therapist, the book brings together simple, creative techniques that make conversations around emotional wellbeing more accessible, playful and meaningful.

For the first time ever, the story steps beyond the page into a fully immersive environment, where emotions are brought to life through colour, movement and sound. Designed for children and adults alike, the experience offers a calm and magical space to slow down, connect and explore emotions together.

Entry is included with all standard FRAMELESS tickets on selected dates until Easter. For more information on opening times, please scroll down this page.

The Experience

Taking place within FRAMELESS’ Blank Canvas Gallery, the experience uses Anna Llenas’ distinctive collage-style illustrations to guide visitors through a series of beautifully crafted emotional worlds. Different feelings — from happiness and sadness to anger and calm — are each given their own moment, colour and atmosphere, encouraging curiosity, reflection and meaningful conversation.

The immersive story begins with the Colour Monster feeling overwhelmed and confused, as all his emotions are mixed together. With gentle guidance, he begins to understand what each feeling means by separating them into coloured jars. As each emotion is explored, the experience softly reinforces a powerful message: all feelings are valid, and talking about them helps us feel lighter, clearer and happier.
