Step into The Colour Monster's World
The Colour Monster is back at FRAMELESS, and this time, he's off to school.
The Colour Monster is back at FRAMELESS, and this time, he's off to school. And for the first time ever, children can help shape the story. Each child can colour in their own Colour Monster and see it appear on the gallery walls, alongside the creations of every other little artist who visits.
Inspired by Anna Llenas' bestselling picture book, The Colour Monster Goes to School is a brand-new immersive adventure in our Blank Canvas Gallery, designed for children aged 3 to 7. Created by author, illustrator and art therapist Anna Llenas, the bestselling series has helped children understand and express their emotions for more than a decade, and now it steps beyond the page at FRAMELESS. Journey alongside the Colour Monster as colour, movement and sound transform every scene into a joyful world to explore together. Comforting, playful and quietly magical, it's an experience made to help families explore big feelings side by side, one colourful adventure at a time. Perfect for the summer holidays and the run-up to a new school year, The Colour Monster Goes to School is included with all standard FRAMELESS admission and open from 14 August to 11 September 2026. |
📅 Opening from 12pm on 14 August – 11 September 2026 |

Create, scan and see your own Colour Monster appear on FRAMELESS’ gallery walls.
For the first time at FRAMELESS, children become part of the story.
During the experience, little artists can create their very own Colour Monster using colour, imagination and plenty of personality. Each finished drawing is then scanned by the FRAMELESS team and projected onto the gallery walls, appearing alongside other children’s creations as part of the immersive show.
From rainbow-striped monsters to spotty, sleepy or completely unexpected characters, every creation brings something new to the story, and makes every visit unlike any other.
