With thousands of glowing reviews from families, FRAMELESS is a must-visit this October half term in London.
The immersive art experience invites visitors to explore four galleries and step inside more than 40 of the world’s most celebrated artworks, brought to life through floor-to-ceiling projection, animation and sound, on a scale that has to be seen to be believed.
Its quartet of huge galleries is complemented by a fifth space, the Blank Canvas Gallery, home to an ever-changing programme of exhibitions.
Until January 2027, all tickets include entry to the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards immersive experience, featuring more than 90 of the world’s funniest wildlife photographs from across the competition’s decade-long history. The photographs are reframed across seven immersive habitats, taking visitors from the deep sea to the jungle.
Here’s why you should add FRAMELESS to your list of things to do this October half term.
1. Explore four award-winning galleries
Spread across 30,000 square feet, FRAMELESS is home to four permanent immersive galleries celebrating different artistic themes and movements.
Beyond Reality
Inspired by surrealist artists including Dalí, this gallery uses explores imagination, fantasy and the unexpected, creating moments that feel both playful and awe-inspiring. Watch weird and wonderful worlds unfold across mirrored surfaces and surround you in 360 degrees.
Colour in Motion
Run, skip and jump in Colour in Motion. Using motion-tracking technology, the gallery reimagines the vibrant worlds of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists including Monet, Van Gogh and Seurat. Paintings dissolve, reform and respond as visitors move through the space.
The World Around Us
From Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel to Monet’s pastoral scenes, FRAMELESS’ largest gallery transports visitors through artworks inspired by natural and man-made environments. Home to its viral reimagining of Rembrandt’s The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, this gallery is not to be missed.
The Art of Abstraction
Wander through a maze of abstract art as bold colours and geometric forms meet and move. Constantly shifting and evolving, the gallery reimagines familiar favourites by the likes of Mondrian and Kandinsky, and encourages visitors to look, listen and find their own interpretation.
Across all four galleries, more than 40 masterpieces are brought to life through immersive projection, music and interactive technology. There is no fixed route, allowing families to explore freely, revisit favourite spaces and experience the galleries at their own pace, punctuated by breaks in the spacious Café Bar.
2. Discover the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards immersive experience
Included with entry this October half term, the limited-run residency brings together 91 photographs from the competition’s ten-year history, capturing animals at their funniest, strangest and most perfectly timed.
Travel across seven habitats, from the ocean depths to grasslands, forests and jungles, as wildlife photography fills the walls around you. Expect ninja prairie dogs, mischievous monkeys and plenty more animals caught at exactly the wrong (or right) moment.
3. Create your own art-inspired portrait at the Art of You Photo Experience
After stepping inside the artwork, you can become part of it yourself with The Art of You Photo Experience.
Choose from a selection of styles inspired by the FRAMELESS galleries before seeing your portrait transformed into a personalised digital artwork.
For autumn, limited-edition wildlife-inspired backdrops join the collection, placing visitors beneath the ocean or among the grasslands in a playful nod to the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards residency.
Portraits can be purchased digitally or as a printed keepsake, making it a fun way to take a little piece of your visit home.
4. Stay longer with extended opening hours for October half term
There’s even more time to explore during the school holidays.
From 26-30 October, FRAMELESS is open from 10am to 7pm, giving families the flexibility to visit in the morning, make an afternoon of it or enjoy an evening escape.
We recommend allowing around two hours to explore the galleries, although with no fixed route or time limit within the experience, you can move through FRAMELESS at your own pace.
Only moments from Marble Arch, it’s also easy to build into a wider half-term day out in central London, with Hyde Park and bustling Oxford Street minutes away.
5. Enjoy an autumnal sweet treat and shop art-inspired gifts
Once you’ve explored the galleries, head to the FRAMELESS Café Bar for a drink or something sweet before heading home.
For October half term, look out for seasonal treats alongside the usual selection of cakes, snacks and drinks, with plenty of space to sit and recharge after exploring. Think apple and cinnamon tea, cinnamon bun lattes and warm baked goods.
